2018 Assessment Tour

 

Isle of Wight Farm participated in another National Open Assessment Tour in March 2018 organised by the Australian Sports Pony Registry. 

 

Isle of Wight Farm presented a new stallion 'Isle of Hemingway' who stole the day both in terms of his presentation, type and jumping ability - scoring a '9' for jumping with particular reference to his shoulder - 'critical in the showjumper' commented assessor Frank Weisskirchen and also for his 'exceptional use of the back end'.  'This horse will not touch a rail with his back feet!'.

Combined with his laid back attitude and gentle nature, we have high hopes for this young man both as a ridden horse himself and also a producer of champions in the future.

Isle of Hemingway is standing at stud alongside the other 'Isle of Wight' stallions at $1,540.00 (inc GST).

​

Also assessed were Isle of Armani  presented by young rider Sophie Fox, Isle of Litani, Isle of Dakota with foal at foot and Isle of Elegance who Weisskirchen tipped as an eventer for the future!

 

Weisskerchen was extremely complimentary of Armani's rideability in particular giving great credit to Sophie's sensitive riding of the young mare allowing her to answer the questions she was asked rather than the directives she was given.  A lovely assessment of Sophie's riding of all of her horses - two of them Isle of Wight ponies!

 

All horses scored well with credit for future potential given.
