Somerset D'Isle is a quality product combining elegance, movement and super good looks.  His trot has an effortless stride and is naturally uphill with lovely freedom and lift from the shoulders and knees.  He has a soft supple back and great flexion and extension from the hocks which allows him to collect and extend with ease.

 

D'Isle's qualities include the most up to date mixture of unique modern bloodlines available in Europe today.  His sire is the sensational Diarado, Supreme Champion par excellence of the Holsteiner Verband classification earning 150 points.  He scored 10 for free jumping and 9.5 for rideability.

 

Diarado's sire, Diamont de Semilly, is one of the best jumping sires worldwide and carries the blood of the great Ibrahim. His dam, Roxette I, is descended from the Holsteiner dam line 318 d 2.  This line also produced Corofino I and II, Crawford, Chello I and II and Camiros. Roxette is by that champion of broodmares and competition horses; Corrado I.  Her maternal grand sire is the supreme producer, Contendor.

 

D'Isle's dam is by the European Champion stallion Balou du Rouet who also scored 10 for jumping and is directly related to the founder of the bloodline 'Cor de la Breyer' from Holstein through Rantzau. Balou du Rouet's dam, Georgia, is by the popular Contender son, Continue, thus D'Isle carries a double cross of the valuable Contender who is equally a producer of top class dressage and jumping horses.

 

D'Isle's dam line carries the valuable Fax II line, who is the sire of the sensational producer Nimmerdor who is the sire of Kannan, Ahorn, Wellington and Heartbreaker and the grand sire of the Olympic Gold Medal Stallion Hickstead and also to the dam of Conquistador and the dam of Premier des Hayettes.

 

His oldest progeny are turning four this spring.  From all reports we are receiving from proud owners, they are very talented and extremely easy to handle and train.  They have wonderful temperaments to match their movement and lovely kind natures.
